I would like to take this chance to write this message to you
as thanks for inspiring me in my life. I joined Roots & Shoots in 2000 when
I was a student at Bulombora primary School in Kigoma. Then students selected
me to be a president of Roots & Shoots at the school. That position helps
me to learn on how to be a leader and to work with people. I traveled different
places and meet with other young people who are Roots & Shoots members. I managed
to have friends to all places which I visited, all this friends speaks one
language and the language was (protecting people, animals and environment for
the sustainable)….nice.
Dr. Jane Goodall
In 2005 I started to volunteer at the Jane Goodall Institutes
in Kigoma, I was operating in 26 Roots & Shoots clubs. From 2005 to 2007 I
managed to increase Roots & Shoots clubs from 26 to 48 clubs. I like to
volunteer because that it was a good time for me to learn about power of youth
on making positive changes. When I was at the JGI-kigoma I met with a team from
Pearson Foundation who teaches us to make public announcement and based calcium
movies which helps we as members of Roots & Shoots to use make different
movies to educate people about different problems facing them.

Thanks so much Dr. Jane Goodall for investing on youth and believing
in youth, thanks for giving us power on solving and creating a huge family of
people who love to care and protect people, animals and environment in general.
I wish you happy birthday Jane Goodall
